B. Booking Cancellation

Customers may request the cancellation of any booking by contacting Mumbai Travel Guru through our official communication channels.

To ensure prompt processing, all cancellation requests must include the following details:

  • • Booking reference / confirmation number
  • • Full customer / lead passenger name
  • • Registered contact number
  • • Registered email address
  • • Specific service booked (Flight, Hotel, Package, Car Rental, Visa, etc.)
  • • Requested date of cancellation

All cancellations are strictly subject to the specific terms, conditions, and deadlines applicable to the individual booking confirmed with the customer.

C. Flight Cancellation

Airline tickets are issued subject to the fare rules, tariff guidelines, and cancellation policies of the respective operating airline.

Depending on the fare class and airline terms selected at the time of reservation, tickets may be:

  • Fully refundable: Eligible for refund subject to applicable airline and processing fees.
  • Partially refundable: Only certain components of the fare or taxes are refundable.
  • Non-refundable: No fare refund is permitted under airline tariff rules.

Mandatory airline cancellation penalties, administrative/service charges, statutory taxes, and non-refundable fees will be deducted prior to refund disbursement.

In cases where flight cancellations, delays, or schedule changes are initiated directly by the operating airline, refund entitlement and alternative flight arrangements will be governed solely by that airline’s operational policy and conditions of carriage.

D. Hotel Cancellation

Hotel cancellation guidelines, cancellation windows, and penalty fees vary according to several key factors:

  • • Specific hotel property and resort regulations
  • • Room category, inventory type, and meal plan
  • • Rate plan selected (e.g., standard flexible rate vs. promotional discounted rate)
  • • Booking date and lead time prior to arrival
  • • Scheduled check-in date and peak/seasonal holiday periods
  • • Promotional, advance purchase, or non-refundable room rate restrictions

Bookings made under non-refundable, flash-sale, or special discount terms do not qualify for any cancellation refunds. Approved refunds will be processed strictly in accordance with the hotel’s verified cancellation terms.

E. Holiday / Tour Package Cancellation

Holiday and tour packages comprise multiple coordinated travel components. Applicable cancellation charges depend directly on:

  • • Notice period and date when the written cancellation request is received
  • • Travel destination (domestic vs. international jurisdictions)
  • • Ground tour operators and local destination management policies
  • • Hotel and accommodation cancellation rules
  • • Group or individual flight ticket booking conditions
  • • Ground transportation, coaches, houseboats, or cruise line terms
  • • Pre-booked sightseeing, excursions, theme park tickets, and activities
  • • Visa documentation and processing expenses
  • • Non-refundable advance payments and security deposits committed to third-party suppliers

Any non-refundable amount or penalty already incurred and paid to third-party suppliers will be deducted from the gross refundable amount. Tailor-made and customized holiday packages may have distinct cancellation schedules communicated clearly at the time of quotation and confirmation.

F. Car Rental & Cab Services Cancellation

Car rental cancellations and refund eligibility are determined based on:

  • • Vehicle category (Sedan, SUV, Luxury Car, Coach, Tempo Traveller)
  • • Fleet supplier and transport operator guidelines
  • • Rental duration (daily rental, outstation trip, or intercity transfer)
  • • Pickup city and dispatch logistics
  • • Timing of the cancellation request relative to the scheduled pickup time
  • • Applicable local fleet supplier terms

Where applicable, supplier cancellation charges, fleet positioning costs, or driver retention fees will be deducted prior to issuing any refund.

G. Visa / Documentation Services

Statutory visa fees, consular charges, biometric fees, and application charges paid to embassies, high commissions, consulates, visa application centers (VACs), or government immigration authorities are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, regardless of whether a visa is approved, delayed, or rejected.

Professional consultancy and documentation service charges are subject to separate service terms once documentation handling, verification, or appointment booking has commenced. Refund eligibility is determined in accordance with the specific terms communicated at the time of booking.

H. Refund Processing & Timelines

Once a cancellation request is reviewed and approved, Mumbai Travel Guru will initiate the refund in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and supplier refund clearance.

Refunds are normally credited back to the original payment method (bank account, credit/debit card, or net banking) used during booking.

The total time required for the refunded funds to reflect in the customer's account depends on external processing entities, including:

  • • The customer's banking institution
  • • Payment gateway aggregator
  • • Credit/debit card issuing network
  • • Airline / GDS refund settlement cycles
  • • Hotel or resort accounting departments
  • • Tour operators and overseas supplier settlement channels

Mumbai Travel Guru cannot guarantee or commit to the exact date on which the customer’s financial institution will credit the amount into their account.

I. Service & Administrative Charges

Professional service fees, administrative handling fees, booking convenience charges, payment processing costs, and related service fees charged by Mumbai Travel Guru for travel consultation and arrangement are non-refundable where applicable.

All applicable non-refundable service fees will be transparently communicated to the customer prior to processing any refund or booking cancellation.

J. No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the designated departure point, hotel, airport, or vehicle pickup location without prior formal written cancellation will be classified as a No-Show.

In accordance with industry standards and supplier rules, No-Show bookings are generally treated as 100% non-refundable. Examples include:

  • Flight No-Show: Failure to check-in or board a flight within required airline deadlines.
  • Hotel No-Show: Failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without advance notice.
  • Tour / Activity No-Show: Missing a scheduled sightseeing departure or excursion.
  • Car Rental No-Show: Failure to take delivery of a scheduled vehicle at the confirmed time.

  • • Passenger name correction or passenger replacement
  • • Travel date, flight timing, or schedule changes
  • • Destination or routing modifications
  • • Hotel property, room category, or meal plan adjustments
  • • Vehicle model or rental duration changes
  • • Tour package itinerary customization

may incur additional fare differences, supplier rebooking fees, and administrative amendment charges. All amendments are subject to real-time availability and individual supplier rules.

L. Supplier / Airline-Initiated Cancellations

In the event that an airline, hotel, tour operator, or third-party service provider cancels, significantly alters, or withdraws a service, Mumbai Travel Guru will proactively assist customers in liaising with the relevant supplier.

The provision of monetary refunds, credit shells, travel vouchers, or alternative travel arrangements remains solely subject to the governing policies and compensation terms of the respective service provider.
